Okay, as predicted, I missed hte "Woot! 1000 hits!" thing.
Still, it's not like it's really that many... Needs to be 5 digits, damnit!

Seriously though, it's good to have that first milestone reached.

Moving right along, I haven't had a chance to go shooting much this week. I've been saving for my new lens for sometime now, and picked it up on Wednesday; an EF 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 L IS USM.
Of course, the second that I took it out of the shop, the skies opened up, and it's been raining since.

Well, at least I think it's raining; I've been trapped at work for most of this time as well.

Still, I have my lens, and can now go out and hunt birds and the like to a much higher precision.

If you're looking for a reliable, genuine, and cheap telephoto IS USM lens, then you can't beat it.
It's the lens behind all of the telephoto shots I've posted here, which should give you an idea of what it's like.

Honestly, everyone should have a stabilised telephoto lens. It's fantastic.

That's pretty much all there is to this week. As you can see by the lack of photos, the rain and work have kept me away from most intersting things, but I hope to rectify that next week sometime.
Expect a lot of shots of ducks and Ibises really close up.
